Nervous telling a life story?

“I’ve been meaning to write my life story for the kids & grandkids for years - they keeping on asking me to. I just haven’t got around to it. I’ve started, then stopped. But one audio story session with you, and it’s all done. It’s off the list! Now, where’s the golf clubs?”

Our subjects are often nervous before a life story session. But once we start, they love how it is all up to us.

We conduct pre-interview research with their families. This means we ask the right questions, targeted to their story. We listen to the answers, and follow the story path accordingly. We re-direct gently and tactfully. We are non-judgemental. We're a friendly outsider, which means they can really open up to us. And they do.

We use non-scary yet professional gear in their own safe space. We edit the final program and include favourite music.

For our subjects, the end of our session means no more work recording personal history. All anxiety is taken away, and replaced with a feeling of catharsis, connection and reflection.

That's a big tick!
